Robert Edward Grill Jr.

57, passed away May 11, 2017.

Robert was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and formerly of Scotch Plains before moving to Bridgewater in 1987. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Psychology and went on to the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 1986. He opened his dental practice, Robert Edward Grill Jr. DMD with his father, Robert Edward Grill Sr., and practiced as a dentist in Scotch Plains for over 26 years eventually retiring in 2012. He was a communicant of St. Bernard Church in Bridgewater where he served as head usher. Robert was head commissioner and region commissioner for the Bridgewater-Raritan Pop Warner Organization. He was affiliated with the Central Dental Society. Robert was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies and Eagles, and always stated "Hail to Pitt". He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his mother and father, Constance Grill and Dr. Robert E. Grill, and his brother Michael.

Surviving are his daughter Sarah Grill, sons Robert John (BJ), August (Gus), Nicholas (Nick), brother John Grill and wife Noelle, sister JoAnne Boyle and husband Patrick, sister Carole Imperiale and husband Chris, seven beloved nieces and nephews, and his children's mother, Mary Grill.

A Funeral Mass will be 10am Wednesday at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater. The Burial will be held at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.

Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm Tuesday at the St. Bernard Church, 500 Route 22 East, Bridgewater.

Arrangements are by the Bruce C Van Arsdale Funeral Home, 111 No. Gaston Ave. Somerville.
