Marjorie B. Schoonover

91, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2017.

Marjorie May (Blank) Schoonover was born and grew up in Painted Post, NY as the oldest of six children. In May of 1948 Marjorie married Harold K. Schoonover and they moved to Richmond, VA. In 1965 after residing in several other states Marjorie moved to Martinsville, NJ. She was employed as a unit clerk for the postpartum unit at Somerset Medical Center and later a medical transcriber. Marjorie enjoyed camping, reading, all sorts of puzzles and especially her family. In March of 2016 Marjorie moved with her daughter and son-in-law to Fuquay-Varina, NC.

Marjorie is predeceased by her husband Harold K. Schoonover, Sr., her brother Charles (Bud) Blank, and her daughter-in law Elaine Schoonover.

Surviving are her son, H. Kenneth Schoonover, Jr. and daughter, Jennifer Amos and her husband Loren. Marjorie cherished her grandchildren Carley Schoonover, Ken Schoonover III, Tara Pendergrass and her husband Tim and Jeff Amos and his wife Traci. She is also survived by three adoring great grandchildren Andrew and Lauren Pendergrass and Ainslee Amos. Marjorie always loved being with her family including her surviving siblings Robert Blank, Patricia Puteri, Doris Kelley, and Dale Blank.

Visitation will be 6 to 8pm Monday, April 3 at Bruce C. Van Arsdale Funeral Home, 111 North Gaston Ave, Somerville. Interment will be 2:30 Tuesday at Washington Crossings National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA.
