Rita V. Kugler
79, entered eternal life Tuesday November 17, 2009.
Rita was born in Bound Brook on July 19, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Michaela and Donato Vendetti. She was formerly of Somerville before retiring to Palm Coast, Florida in 1987. Rita and her husband Rudy returned to NJ in 2003 residing in Toms River. She was employed as an administrative assistant for American Hoechst in Bridgewater for over ten years. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. Rita was an avid golfer and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She especially loved spending time with her family and will be sadly missed by all.
She is predeceased by her son Neal Anthony Kugler who died in 1997 and two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are her husband Rudolph, four daughters, Janet Kugler, Vera Sands and husband Robert, Judy Collins and husband Thomas, Virginia Yaeger and husband John, daughter in-law Sherry Kugler-Harvey, two sisters Virginia Hussey and Gerry Ofsik, eleven grandchildren, Kristen, Angela, Neal, Tommy, Ryan, Ali, Jackie, Julie, Tommy, Kevin and Kris and twelve great grandchildren, Ashley, Rebecca, Christian, Lindsey, Noah, Danielle, Natalie, Timmy, Lindsey, Daniel, Jake and Kai.
Prayers will said 8am Saturday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave. Somerville 908-725-3111 followed by 9am Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. Interment will follow at St Magdalen Cemetery in Flemington.
Visitation will be 2-4pm & 7-9pm Friday at the funeral home.
