Robert G. Yingst Sr.
76, died November 1, 2009.
Robert was born in Pottsville, PA and was a longtime resident of Somerville before moving to Effort, PA in 1998. He was employed as a chef for Patullos's Restaurant in Bound Brook and various Country Clubs in the area for over 30 years retiring in 2001. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Somerville. Robert enjoyed traveling, cooking and especially spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all.
He is predeceased by his son Jeffrey who died in 1995.
Surviving are his wife Valerie ( nee Reznak ) his sons Harry, Robert Jr., Thomas, Michael and Jason, daughters Jennifer Yingst, Sherley Cruz, Patricia Willis, Katherine Eckert and Margo Reggio, 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and former spouse Margaret Lamparter.
Services will be 11am Thursday at St. John's Episcopal Church, 158 West High St, Somerville. Interment will follow at New Cemetery in Somerville.
Visitation will be 7-9pm Wednesday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave. Somerville.
