Horst Mueller,
73, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 in Clinton, NJ.
Born in Yugoslavia, he came to America with his family in 1956. He proudly served in the Korean War. Mr. Mueller was a Master Baker, owning two very successful and popular bakeries in the area, "Martinsville Bakery" in Martinsville, NJ and "Stanson Bakery" in Dunellen, NJ. Horst worked for Sunset Productions; Hunterdon Hills Playhouse in Hampton, NJ as Bakery Manager since 1975 to present. At the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse he was appreciated for his wonderful desserts, breads, and his beloved Gingerbread village display. He was also employed by The State of New Jersey, Edna Mahon Correctional Facility in Clinton, NJ as Supervisor ITI Baking since 1986 to present. Horst was a kind, generous person who will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. His talents and work ethics were unsurpassed. His love of life and sense of humor inspired us all.
He was predeceased by his mother, Katharina Mueller in 1987, and his wife, Rosemarie Herzog Mueller.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Marie Mueller, son, Robert of E. ; two daughters, Donna Teller and Lisa Biedron, three grandchildren, Jason C. Teller, Lauren and Carolyn Biedron; two sisters, Tina Adi and Linda Garcia ; two brothers, Hans and Sig Mueller, several adoring nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at Hunterdon Hills Playhouse, Hampton, NJ. Cremation was private. Arrangements are by Bruce C VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave. Somerville.
Donations can be made in his name to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, Branchburg, NJ; First Baptist Church of New Market, Piscataway, NJ; NORWESCAP, Washington, NJ.
